CHS two-sport star, better known as “Too Tall,” played college football at University of Memphis (then Memphis State). Started in basketball and football all four years of high school. Recruited by several Division I football programs, he was signed by late Tennessee Tech coach Jim Ragland when he was at MSU. Eventually earned a starting berth at defensive tackle for the Tigers, but career was cut short by a knee injury.
